A good night was had by all who came along to The Oldtown House last Friday night, where the Wild Geese Christmas party was in full swing. The music quelled, and Chairman Sean McNulty took to the floor to announce the much anticipated awards for the year. Ladies’ Football Player of the Year went to Michelle Markey, with Most-improved Player going to Elaine Fay. Mens’ Football Player of the Year was Daragh Hagan and Most-improved was Peter Slye. The Hurlers’ Player of the Year went to Tom Smith. Most-improved went to Mark Kealy.

The children’s party was held at the pitch on Saturday, where Santa made his special annual appearance to delight lots of girls and boys. Soup, sandwiches and lots of cake and cups of tea were gratefully had by everyone there. The WG U-15’s proudly received their gold Dublin League winners medals.
