Important club update:
As confirmed at last week’s AGM, we have had a significant change at the top of the leadership of our club. Seán “Macker” McNulty will step aside from the role of chairman for 2024. Seán will still be heavily involved in the club and has been nominated as club president. Seán has been chairman for longer than most can remember and has decided to take a well deserved break from the administrative running of the club but still plans on supporting the club, as always, in the future. We will celebrate Seán’s leadership at our upcoming Christmas ball.
Consequently, we have a new chairperson. Teresa Purtill has been nominated for the role👏🏻.
Teresa has been a resident of Oldtown for almost 10 years and has spent the last few years on the committee, implementing our 5 year plan and over the past two years working as club secretary. Personally, Teresa is a GAA fanatic, with her husband Paddy coaching our under 13s and both sons playing underage for us. Professionally, Teresa brings a wealth of knowledge in leading organisations just as her day job requires of her. We are lucky to have Teresa in our club and as our new chairperson. We wish her the best in her new role and are excited for the future together.
Teresa will speak at our club Christmas ball on December 2nd, another reason to attend 😉.
