It is with great sadness to let you know of the sudden death of one of our members and great Geese stalwart, Tony Butler. Tony was captain of Erin’s Isle and won a Dublin senior championship with them. He also played senior football for Dublin, of which he was very proud.

When he moved to Fingal, he helped restart the Geese. He was a selector with our football teams and committee member through the 80s and 90s. He always gave great encouragement to the Geese as a selector and supporter on the line. Tony was also a long term Geese lotto supporter, up to the present day. He was a great character and great fun.

Our condolences to his wife Greta, daughters, Sharon, Elaine and Avril, his sons in laws and grandchildren.
