just a quick note from the ladies who looked after everyone in the local hall last saturday. " We would like to thank businesses, local and from surrounding areas, and members of the community, who so generously donated foodstuff and supplies to the parish hall on Oldtown for Ciaran's memorial service. The food and supplies that were left over at the end of the day were donated to charity through our local conference of the St. Vincent de paul, homeless aid and womens refuge. each charity welcomed it with open arms. A massive thank you to everyone for all there help on saturday, especially for all the donations from the Tormey family, keogh family, kettle family, super valu, tesco and from the all that gave there land for parking, the stewards for giving there time to look after the traffic, the ladies who did a massive job in the local hall looking after everyone and people of oldtown for cleaning around the area and giving a hand out were needed, local communities around the area who gave time, donations, parking and anything that was asked for, many thanks ...

Ciaran smith life was celebrated over the weekend and for a quiet gentleman his life touched so many people near and far and made this world a better place, he will be missed by so many people but altough he is gone our memories of him will last a lifetime. On saturday morning got a meassage from perth australia from sean madigan who played along side ciaran and he wrote a poem about ciaran, He always walked tall and wore a great smile, this pillar of strength, a great man by your side, as tough as they come, truly honest and fair, he looked out for everyone, our man in the air, needless to say, he was one of the best, not with us today, he just taking a rest.
